In 2015 This Design Tool designed a series of workshops for IKEA & SPACE10. The workshops created a mutual understanding of future customer expectations and how IKEA should engage with customers and communities in order to create beneficial customer experiences in the future.
The workshops were a balanced mix of inspiring talks, co-creation sessions and creative exercises with an outside-in perspective. The strong focus on future customer centricity created a framework for the participants to ideate on one central question and funnel their most promising ideas into concrete pitches.
All ideas and pitches were actionable and have been implemented into actions plans and roadmaps internally in IKEA.
All workshops were designed in close collaboration with SPACE10. SPACE10 is IKEA´s external innovation lab, located in Copenhagen.

Næstved Bymidteplan 2015
In 2015 we worked closely with Næstved Municipality to discover the future of Næstved Bymidte – Næstved town center. The results were documented in Næstved Bymidteplan 2015 in 4 scenarios, 6 thematic focus areas and more than 20 specific initiatives, some are already launched. The final document was approved by the City Council in December 2015.
To be socially and economically viable, the development of Næstved Bymidte has to be deeply rooted in local history and environment – and with local people and trade. This Design Tool designed several co-creation workshops for citizens and professional stakeholders in order to create engagement and a shared vision of future urban life & living and use of existing urban spaces in Næstved.
For the development of Næstved Bymidteplan 2015 we partnered with the strategic consulting firm Nueva.
"Vi har samarbejdet med Terne om udvikling af Næstved Bymidte i løbet af 2015. Terne har hjulpet os med processen og med konkretisering af input fra de mange interessenter.
Det har været en stor fornøjelse at samarbejde med Terne. Både store og små møder blev til møder af den slags, som man husker og stadig refererer til. Det skyldes i høj grad Ternes evne til at skabe både tillid og en struktur omkring møderne. Det satte os i stand til at producere gode resultater på kort tid."
